The Introduction

The Introduction
I would like to spend a few minutes introducing myself. My name is Victoria Pendleton, and I’m originally from Lancashire, England. I moved to Fairbanks, Alaska when I turned 30, and there I lived for 10 cold years haha. Next, I moved to Arizona, where the sun shines almost every day. I liked the sun, so I stayed and have been here ever since.
I have two adult daughters and a grandson, who all live close by. I also have a goat named Billy, and a pig named Bacon...my usually friendly outdoor pets. I keep chickens and ducks for the eggs. Duck eggs are the best! My indoor pets include a tiny dog named Pickles, and a cat called Penelope. I’m sure there are quite a few ‘pet’ spiders in the house too, but I don’t really want to talk about that.
I was born and raised a Catholic. I went to an all-girls Catholic School and was taught by nuns. By the time I was sixteen, I had stopped attending church. In my late teens I started church hopping, but never really found that ‘church home’ I was searching for.
When I moved to Alaska I started attending a small local church belonging to the Southern Baptists. But I eventually drifted away as time went on. I finally ended up an atheist. I remain an atheist for many years. I persisted with my atheist beliefs up until five years ago when I had a moment of clarity (that really is an understatement and a whole other story!). At that moment, I knew God existed.
Now what??
